Terror Attacks in Manchester
Redhill Imam speaks out against the terror attacks in the Greater Manchester, Muslim Community has been saddened and horrified about the events that have unfolded recently, the unprovoked mindless attacks on innocent people. These are just some of the challenges we all face coming up to in the future to come.
We take this opportunity in sharing the grief of all the victims, families, friends and the Nations concerned. These are indeed testing times for us all, whether we are directly affected or not, we pray for all the victims and ask that Allah (swt) gives us strength to see us through these difficult times and persons who carry out such acts have no regard for human life, be it Christian, Muslim, Jew or any other faith persuasion.
The Head Imam Main Sajid Latif Qadir and the Management of Redhill Islamic Centre Trust commented: “Yet again we witness senseless killings of innocent people, We ask all communities to be extra vigilant over the coming weeks and support our security services with any information that they may have to prevent any further incidents.”
Mohammad Khalid, Head of Mosque for the borough of Reigate and Banstead commented “We are all truly horrified and touched by the loss of all lives and injury to all victims of these tragedies. Every human life is precious and it does not matter which faith, colour, creed one belongs to. We must all work continually to ensure that these mindless acts do not create the divisions the attackers are striving for in our communities. We must all condemn such attacks in the same unequivocal manner, terrorism and hate will not be allowed to find a foothold in our societies. This vile attack is an attack on all of us, regardless of race or religion.
We must stand united against such extreme, evil and distorted ideologies and work together to defeat terrorism in all its formsThe aim of terrorist attacks such as these is to divide communities and incite hatred amongst people of different beliefs and backgrounds. I urge communities to remain united and even more determined to eradicate all forms of terrorism. I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives at Manchester and express full solidarity with the victims of the terror attack. I convey my sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives.”
