The aim of our New Muslim Support project is to facilitate the transition of a New Muslim into the Muslim community. The comprehensive model we have created achieves the above by focusing on the following objectives:

Educate – The most obvious. New Muslims need to learn the basics of their newly founded religion.
Support – New Muslims face many problems when they leave their previous religion and require support.
Integrate – Embracing New Muslims into the Muslim community through integration.
The above sounds nice but how do we actually do it

As more people find out about Islam, some decide to convert. Redhill Mosque provides advice, support and friendship. Redhill Mosque has trained Imams to provide religious guidance and advice on day-to-day matters affecting the community such as bereavement, cultural challenges, family issues and matrimonial problems.

Weekly sessions are also provided so that they can learn to pray, read the Qur‘an and perform the other duties that Muslims are required to carry out.

Regular programmes include Fiqh (rules and regulations) and Tafsir (explanation) of the Qur‘an in English, Urdu, Arabic. In Islam, Mosques are a focal point for the local Muslim community in religious and social matters.
